I started playing golf when I was 12 years old. My father took my sister and me to the driving range to hit golf balls. She packed it in after about 20 minutes but I was drawn to the game, the competition, and hitting the ball farther and farther. As years went on, I played golf with my dad as a father/son activity in the summer and sometimes at indoor ranges in the winter. When I turned 16, I was told my game was getting better and that working as a golf professional could be in my future. This encouragement and support gave me the motivation that landed me my first position in the golf industry and also allowed me to play more golf throughout the years. After playing every year since I turned professional in 2013 with my dad as my caddie. Golf has always been something we share together and hopefully, it makes him proud about where I started to where I am now.
“What is your favourite part of the Game?”
My favourite part of the game is putting. I was always loved watching the ball roll as long as possible into the cup. Nothing beats that feeling.
“What is the greatest golf moment in history?”
Francis Ouimet winning the 1913 US Open at a golf club he used to caddie at and beating professional golfers Harry Vardon and Ted Ray in a playoff. This moment proved that golf was going to be a sport for everyone and made for an amazing movie!
“When he’s not on the course, you can find him…”
At home playing the latest video game or watching a movie. Taking long walks with my fiancé and dog Zeus. Listening to music and playing it on my guitar.
